The Chorus of the Free

 

A parchment of old breathes new life in the air,

The voice of the founders, a promise we share.

With ink on the paper and hope in our eyes,

We watched the great dawn of our future arise.

 

The ballot box shines as our truest defense,

A quiet revolution of pure common sense.

From long morning lines to the drop of the hand,

The power of voting sweeps over the land.

The Constitution stands grounded and strong,

As millions join in on the national song.

With banners unfurled and our liberty won,

We the People rejoice for the work we have done.

 

 

 

< Changes We the People want >

 

 

Advocates contend that imposing term limits on members of the House of Representatives,

the broader Congress, and Supreme Court justices would diminish entrenched political power,

curb the sway of career politicians and lobbyists, and temper the fierce partisanship that surrounds judicial confirmations. 

 

For Congress, supporters argue that limits would replace long‑standing

incumbents with ordinary citizens who bring fresh, real‑world perspectives,

making the legislature more responsive and accountable to voters. 

 

Regarding the Supreme Court, proposals such as staggered Fifteen‑year active terms

would guarantee regular, predictable appointments for each presidential administration,

prevent the entrenchment that comes with lifetime tenure,

and bring the judiciary into closer alignment with the public it serves.

Additionally, an age cap of 65 would further ensure turnover and vitality on the bench.  

In addtion all elected officials holding high office should be banned from stock trading and predition markets.
